Happy Mothers Day

Being a Mother is an experience you just can't describe to anyone that doesn't have children. A 'job' like no other - 24/7 - 365 days a year with very little pay but rewards that are priceless. Whenever I feel down it is my children's hugs and kisses that never feel to make me feel better.

I lost my mother 4 years ago. I actually feel as if I lost her twice as she had Alzheimer's, seeing someone you love not remember who you are and ultimately who they are is devastating. I think about my mum every day and wish she could be here to see her granddaughters.

I found this poem and this is me saying Happy Mothers Day to my Mum.

Your Mother Is Always With You...

Your mother is always with you...

She's the whisper of the leaves

as you walk down the street.

She's the smell of bleach

in your freshly laundered socks.

She's the cool hand on your brow

when you're not well.

Your mother lives inside your laughter.

She's crystallized in every tear drop.

She's the place you came from,

your first home...

She's the map you follow

with every step that you take.

She's your first love

and your first heart break...

and nothing on earth can separate you.

Not time, Not space...

Not even death...

will ever separate you

from your mother...

You carry her inside of you...
