Musical Moments: Guest Post: Opal Moon Baby by Maudie Smith

It is my great pleasure to share with you today the playlist to go alongside the characters from Opal Moonbaby - my 9 year old seems to be turning into a reviewing Whizz [ : D ]

Title: Opal Moonbaby
Author: Maudie Smith
Illustrator: Gillian Johnson
Publisher: Orion Children's
Publication Date: 5 Jan 2012

Synopsis from Amazon

Martha's decided friends are stupid. Especially if they're anything like Colette and Chloe. She never wants another friend. Ever. But it's the first day of the summer holidays, and there's not that much to do... until she spots a strange little furry creature who leads her to Opal Moonbaby. Opal's been sent down from her planet on a mission: to work out what on earth people are (and my goodness - people are strange) and to make a friend.

PLAYLIST

Martha loves:
Fireworkby Katy Perry
Fearless by Taylor Swift
             Fireflies by Owl City
She doesn't like just songs beginning with F though.
She also likes:

Opal loves:
 Human by The Killers

Robbie loves:
Tonight's the kind of night by Noah and the Whale
His secret favourite, though, is the old sea shanty:
What shall we do with the drunken sailor?

Mum likes:
When we collide by Matt Cardle.
(Mum thinks the lyrics are pretty silly but she loves to sing along to this one)

Isn't it wonderful to see all the characters choices.
